As a church and academic thinker, Mark’s view of Theology and Philosophy are not in conflict. To the contrary, they support each other.
Mark often says …. “the right question is more important than the right answer – the right question leads you to the right answer”.
The bridge between the right questions and right answers is analytical and reflective thought.
“While theology alone is not philosophy, the question of the possibility of theology has been, and to some extent still is, the principal philosophical question.”
– Roger Scruton, A Short History of Modern Philosophy, Routledge, 1995, 6.
